Ozotic 506 vs. 505 ~ Comparison

Here's a quick comparison of Ozotic 506 and 505!

506 is more blue based, wheareas 505 is more green based.

Both are sheer and look great over a dark colour like black. The multichrome effect is the same for both polishes, as can be seen below.

Both of these multichromes are absolutely stunning!! They are so magical in real life. They change colour with every angle. See my review of Ozotic 506 here!

I've heard that Ozotic may be retiring these colours, so if you don't have them yet, try to get your hands on them soon!! Don't fret however if you cannot find them, there are Sally Hansen, Ludurana and Hits brand dupes that are quite easily available!

China Glaze ~ Prismatic Collection ~ Swatches + Review

Hello Everyone! I have something exciting to show you today!! Here is the much anticipated China Glaze Prismatic collection! I know after seeing swatches, many people were disappointed that these weren't holographic like the OMG and Kaleidoscope collections, but I still really love them! They are a gorgeous mix of different coloured/sized glitter and a few of them have duochrome, colour shifting properties. I have enough holos anyways...

So here we have from L-R:

Prism (purple), Full Spectrum (pink), Ray-Diant (yellow-green), Optical Illusion (green), Liquid Crystal (blue), and Polarized (silver)

Comparison of China Glaze Prismatic collection with
the Color Club Beyond the Mistletoe collection.

They are similar colours, but the CC's don't have the different sized/coulours glitters, nor the multichrome effect. The CC's also have some holographic glitter in them. In my opinion, you need BOTH collections! =D

The black base really brings out the multichrome.

I really like them over black. My favourites so far are probably the blue, the pink, the purple, then the green. Also, did I mention that they are silver caps??? It is hard to show in pictures due to all the sparkle, but with the exception of the silver, all the polishes are quite multichrome! What more could I ask for?? Honestly I think adding any holoness (linear of scattered glitter) would be overkill.

So what do you think?? Even thought they aren't holographic, will you still be picking some up?

ps, I've told myself that I am not allowed to buy polish for an indefinite period of time... I've gone 10 days so far! =D

OPI SILVER SHATTER SAVES THE DAY!!

I've been hesitant to use Shatter lately because my Shatter doesn't always shatter, and there's nothing worse then doing a cool idea only to have your black shatter cover it all up! This time though, I used Shatter to save an old mani that was starting to chip. 

I had Ludurana Emocianante on for 5 days. There was no tip wear, but I was getting some chips. (I am quite impressed with this polish. I was lazy so it had no base  or top coat, just 2 coats of Emocianante and no black base coat is needed! I'll post pics of it alone later). 

For my first day of school I wanted my nails to look good, so I threw on some OPI Silver Shatter! I wasn't sure how well it would shatter over long-dried polish, but I was willing to take the risk of it not shattering, since my base polish was already worn and chipped. I was also short on time and Shatter dries super quick! 

I then topped off the shatter with a coat of Ozotic 506. The Ozotic multichromes are sheer and awesome for layering! Doing so actually made the Shatter separate even more! It was so cool to watch. 

Since Shatter leaves the nails bumpy, I had to top coat it! I don't use Seche Vite and I was too lazy to even wait for my quick dry top coats to dry, so I used a matte top coat! Like Shatter, mattes dry super fast and you can watch them as they dry! I don't always have time to sit around and watch polish dry! I have things to do and places to be! Watching polish dry is reserved for exam studying time!! LOL...

I really like the depth this look creates, while keeping the nails smooth to the touch. Since the base colour was a multichrome, you can also see the colour change! It's not as intense matted as glossy, but you can still see a definite change from blue-purple to purple-pink and even to orange at sharp angles.

Ozotic 506 - Multichrome Love. . .

Hello! I have something AMAZING!!! to show you today, Ozotic Multichromes!!

Here is 2 coats of Ozotic 506, a lovely Australian polish, over 1 coat of Wet n Wild - Black Creme (and a pattern of 505 on my ring finger). 505 is almost identical to 506, but I'll show you the difference in my next post ;)

Multichromes show the best range of colours when layered over black! But, you don't have to layer them! (I'll also show you in a future post)

This polish is just mesmerizing! I wore it to work one day and everyone kept asking me about it! 506 has a blue base and depending on the light source and angle, it appears purple, pink, orange, yellow, and even a mossy green!

This is what it looks like most of the time, teal with a purple flash.

At steeper angles you can see the pink, orange and yellow.

Under a bright light, you can see the amazing shimmer and majestic quality of this polish! Each colour reminds me of deep vibrant jewel tones!

Here is 506 over OPI Nail Envy and topped off with Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat, after 5 DAYS!!!

Isn't it lovely! I had no issues with this polish. Application was perfect! The flat brush is great! The bottles aren't tiny, they're 15ml! They are 3 free! 

I think I can break up with my holos for some more of these multichromes! They are just gorgeous! Also, the colour shift is extremely noticeable in cloudy weather or artificial light, which unlike holos, works perfectly here in Vancouver!
